Merial® UlcerGard® oral paste for horses helps prevent gastric ulcers and the associated discomfort caused by them. Non-prescription, FDA approved UlcerGard contains the active ingredient omeprazole, which reduces stomach acid production and helps prevent Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome. Guard against stomach ulcers whenever your horse is exposed to stress with once daily administration. This palatable, cinnamon flavored paste is recommended for horses in stressful situations such as trucking, training, stall confinement, competition, increased exercise or changes in routine, to prevent the development of gastric ulcers. Each oral syringe contains four doses for horses that weigh between 600 to 1,200 pounds. For horses weighing more than 1,200 pounds, two doses should be administered.
