Online ERS Centaur® Blue Steel Double-Jointed Disc 2-Ring Gag Bit Stainless

The Centaur® Blue Steel Double-Jointed Disc 2-Ring Gag Bit features a mouthpiece made of a technically advanced version of black steel (traditional sweet iron). Blue steel oxidizes more quickly and easily than black steel, creating a surface that tastes sweet to the horse. This taste naturally stimulates production of saliva, which in turn encourages optimal acceptance of the bit by the horse.

Each side of the bit is perfectly balanced to offer total comfort and response. It’s lost wax cast and hand polished from the highest grade of 18/8 stainless steel. The center brass roller disc gives the horse’s tongue something to play with, creating an effect that may keep the horse’s mouth quieter and more receptive to the rider’s aids. Gag cheeks offer the ability to apply leverage, if needed.
