The Neue Schule Turtle Top™ Flex™ 16mm Eggbutt Bradoon is a double-jointed bit design inspired by the horse’s anatomy. Featuring a Salox® Gold mouthpiece, it offers enhanced stability through optimized alignment of the mouthpiece surfaces to the tongue and palate.

The Neue Schule Flex design concept delivers a guaranteed and well controlled co-alignment of the surfaces of the mouthpiece with the sensitive surfaces of the equine mouth. For most designs Flex delivers parallel co-alignment of the Turtle Top dome with the equine palate.

Turtle Top with Flex keeps the mouthpiece centered and arched over the tongue at all times, encouraging relaxation. This comfortable mouthpiece is also useful in refocusing the inattentive mouth back onto the rein aids to promote soft, consistent contact.

This bit is helpful in training and dressage as it gives the rider greater shoulder control on a circle and helps set up the bend when changing the rein or with lateral work. The stability the eggbutt offers along with the clever design of mouthpiece often proves useful when working toward a consistent and even contact. It is often recommended for horses with a short tense neck.
