This single Ice Horse® Large-Size Hoof Boot with three Cold Capsule™ inserts provides effective cold therapy to your horse’s hoof. Patented Cold Capsule inserts are scientifically proven to stay colder three times longer than gel wraps or buckets of ice and water.

The Hoof Boot (formerly called the Big Black Boot) is the simple solution for cooling a hot hoof on your horse or pony. Reusable Cold Capsule Inserts wrap around the hoof and coronet band to provide uniform coverage and relief for over two hours per application. Once frozen, Cold Capsule inserts, which are filled with small ice crystals which look and feel like soft flakey snow, are malleable and conform to the horse’s body for maximum coverage.

The boot is made of heat-releasing Quadrispan™, so it doesn’t hold heat inside. The nonslip rubber sole features the ability to use the boot with your choice of pad or wedge.
